Born and raised in Haywood County, DeeAnna Haney is thrilled to be living back in her hometown and writing about the community she loves so much. She’s a Pisgah High School grad who became a Mountaineer when she went to Appalachian State University. She emerged from college with a journalism degree and a better understanding of herself. DeeAnna enjoys delving into a good book, exploring these beautiful mountains, meeting interesting people and drinking plenty of coffee.
