HOPEful Living meets monthly on the 3rd Tuesday from 4:00 – 5:30 pm at the Haywood Regional Fitness Ctr. 2nd-floor classroom.
Please join us on October 21st when we will discuss information from the book, “Anti-cancer: A New Way of Life,” by David Servan-Schreiber, MD, PhD, and any other topics of interest to attendees.
At our Nov. 18th meeting, Bart Paschal, M.D., will speak about new cancer treatments and suggestions for cancer survivors. Dr. Paschal is a Medical Oncologist with 21st Century Oncology in Clyde. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He completed medical school and residency at LSU health Sciences Center and a fellowship in Medical Oncology at Bowman Gray School of Medicine.
Our Dec. 16th meeting will be a potluck party held at a member’s home at 11:30 am. Call Sandi for more information and directions.
The Jan. 20th meeting will feature Lauren Teague, MHS, RD, LDN, who will speak about nutrition and diet for cancer patients and survivors. She is a registered dietitian and diabetes educator at Haywood Regional Medical Center. Lauren has her Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from WCU. She loves teaching people about healthy eating and meal planning.
