Horsemanship part of life skills program Sept. 28 to 30

Heritage Horsemanship will re-introduce the lost art of old time horsemanship during the Heritage Life Skills program Sept. 28 to 30 at the Haywood County Fairgrounds. Sponsored by Carolina Readiness Supply, the event will feature, along with the class, “An EMP won’t Stop your Horse,” classes on topics such as edible and medicinal plants, fruit, vegetable, and meat canning, fire making, blacksmithing, children’s classes and many more to give the skills necessary to anyone wanting to be prepared to survive any type disaster.

Today some people are considering what they would do in case of an electro magnetic pulse (EMP), a solar flare, marshal law or other form of disaster causing wide spread black outs and stop cars in their tracks.
