World War II VETERAN

WAYNESVILLE — Mr. Humes Houston Whittlesey Hart Jr., 85, of Waynesville, passed away Jan. 16, 2013, at his residence, the same home in which he was born. He was the only son of the late Humes Houston Whittlesey Hart Sr. and Lilian May Allen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents W.C. and Cottie Allen. He was a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his sister, Allen Hart Norris, of Silver Springs, Maryland; his sons, Daniel Allen Hart, of Watertown, Connecticut, William Allen Hart, and his wife, Mae, of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Shannon Allen Hart, Timothy Andrew Hart and Tyler Alexander Hart; and two great-grandchildren.
