Haywood Vocational Opportunities (HVO) announces that Milliken Healthcare’s Assist Silver has been selected as a finalist in the surgical equipment, instruments and supplies category of the 17th annual Medical Design Excellence Awards competition. Finalists were officially announced in the April Issue of MD+DI (Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry) magazine. Winners will be announced at the 2014 MDEA ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, in conjunction with the MD&M East event at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.

Assist Silver low-adherent antimicrobial graft cover dressing is manufactured and submitted by Milliken Healthcare Products LLC (Spartanburg, SC). ASSIST Silver is a graft cover dressing that combines Active Fluid Management technology with a low-adherent layer to provide optimal moisture balance, eliminate the need for additional low-adherent layers, and provide seven-day antimicrobial protection. Supply and design credit goes to HVO.

HVO will be exhibiting at the MD&M East Tradeshow June 10-12. This is the first time that HVO has displayed at this medical device tradeshow and is honored to be selected as an OEM supply and design finalist for Milliken Healthcare and their wound care products.
