Information on the Affordable Care Act Is Available at the Library

By Haywood County Library | Oct 03, 2013

Haywood County Public Library has created Affordable Care Act information manuals that can be found at the front desk of each library branch. The manuals include information on the health insurance marketplace in North Carolina -- how it works and what marketplace health insurance covers -- as well as information on the premium tax credit, the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP), and sample marketplace health insurance applications.

There will be a public information session on the Affordable Care Act with Jan Plumber from Mountain Projects on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 5 p.m. at the Waynesville Library. Following the presentation, there will be time for a Q&A. No RSVP required.

For more information on the manuals, call the individual libraries at 452-5169 (Waynesville), 648-2924 (Canton), 356-2541 (Maggie Valley), or 627-0146 (Fines Creek).
