In Loving Memory

CANTON — Ira Taylor Hightower, 82, of Canton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012.

Mr. Hightower was the son of the late Alfred Hightower and the late Hester Green Hightower. He was a lifelong resident of Haywood County and retired from Champion International. Mr. Hightower loved to farm and enjoyed raising cattle and miniature horses. In the words of his family, he will be remembered as being "the best Daddy in the world."

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie Hightower, who passed away in 2011.

Surviving are two daughters and a son, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and also several brothers and sisters.

A private family service will be held.
