It’s that time again!
Most of you that have read my writing about sports know that I’m generally not a huge fan of ESPN. I feel like its way to mainstream, to pop culture driven, to predictable, and filled with fluff.
The reason I say this is probably based mostly on what they cover and how they cover it.
In the winter time for example, we may spend a quarter of the SportsCenter hour discussing what LeBron had for dinner, and how he “tweeted” about it later.
I’m just not particularly interested … I have a finite amount of time to spend catching up on what happened during the day. I’m much more interested in a comprehensive and in-depth look at the real day’s events and what might be yet to come.
I need to hear about Appalachian football, Carolina Hurricanes hockey, and Atlanta Falcons football among ...
