WAYNESVILLE — Mr. Jack M. Black, 80, of Waynesville passed away Oct. 28, 2012, at his home. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph M. and Elsie McKinney Black. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Edward Black, and a sister, Laverne Black Ruben.
Mr. Black proudly served the country in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 35 years of service with Lockheed Martin. Upon his retirement in 1994, he and his wife moved to Waynesville, where he enjoyed the mountains and his favorite hobby of woodworking. Mr. Black was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed time spent with his family. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church Waynesville.
