CANTON — Jack D. Fletcher, 84, of Canton, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013.

Mr. Fletcher was born May 29, 1928, in Haywood County, to the late Dewey Fletcher and the late Loretta Drake Fletcher.  He was a member of the 1948 graduating class of Canton High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran, having enlisted following his high school graduation. He began his career in paper manufacturing in 1952, with Champion International and retired from the Pasadena, Texas, division in 1982 with 30 years of dedicated service.  Mr. Fletcher had made his home in Pasadena for 45 years, before returning to Canton in 1996.
