WAYNESVILLE — Jack Pershing Bramlett, 94, of Waynesville, passed away on his birthday, Nov 3, 2012.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Plato and Alice Bramlett.  He was a graduate of Fines Creek High School, and was employed by Glenn L. Martin Company in Middle River, Maryland.  Mr. Bramlett proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and participated in conflicts in the Pacific.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Shelby Bramlett, and sisters, Bertie Bramlett, Bonnie Hunter and Shirley McElroy.

Surviving is his wife, Doris Teague Bramlett; sons, Jack Z. Bramlett (Penny) of Westminster, Maryland, Donald W. Bramlett of Waynesville, and grandchildren, Kirsten Claire Bramlett, of Westminster, Maryland, Allison Paige Bramlett, of Owings Mills, Maryland, Kevin Hollis Bramlett of High Point.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at White Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Putnam officiating.

Memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Bramlett to the White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at 65 Heath Dr., Waynesville, NC.
