1958 – 2013

CANTON —  James Charles “Bimbo” Rathbone, 54, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was a son of the late James Ronald and Ora Mae Kuykendall Rathbone.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Keitha Ann Cope, who died in 1994.

He is survived by two sons, Chris and Todd Rathbone, both of Canton; one sister, Jennifer Earley, of Canton; five brothers, Ricky, Ronnie, Randy and Kevin Rathbone, all of Canton, and Tommy Rathbone, of Gaffney, South Carolina; and two grandchildren, Christopher Sherrill and James Dalton Rathbone.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
