Loving Husband, Father

CLYDE — James Carroll Garren, 81, passed away Tuesday March 19, 2013, at The Homestead.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Alvin Whittaker and Daisy Rathbone Garren.  He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin Garren Jr. and Billy Garren.  He retired from Champion International in 1993, with 35 years of service, and was a member of Clyde Wesleyan Church.  James loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing, and hunting.  He adored his family and will be deeply missed by them all.  He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea.
