CLYDE — James Carlyle Green, 57, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Transylvania Regional Hospital.
A native of Hampton, Virginia, he was the son of Marilyn Kemp Green, of Clyde, and the late Ransom Matt Green. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas “Tommy” Ransom Green, who died in 1992. James attended Clyde Wesleyan Church and was a retired employee of the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Division of Highways.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Margaret Russell, and her husband, Ron, of Clyde; a brother, David Green, and his wife, Deborah, of Clyde; four nieces; and a nephew.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Clyde Wesleyan Church with a memorial dinner prior beginning at 6 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.
