WAYNESVILLE — James Herman Farmer, 82, of Covered Wagon Trail, Waynesville, passed away, Wednesday, March 20, 2013. He was the son of the late Merrill Lee (Bill) Farmer and Lillie Woods.

Preceded in death by brother, Harold (Red).

He is survived by his wife of 30 years Shirley; brothers, Bob and Bill, of Clyde; sister, Hazel Bradshaw, of Maggie Valley; children, Joy Riddle (Tim), of Waynesville, Joe Grasty (Allison), of Sylva, Jamie Grasty (Tina), of Waynesville, Sheila Woods, of Oklahoma, Tim Farmer, of Canton, Mark Farmer, of Clyde, Sherrie Hall (Charlie), of Clyde; grandchildren, Megan, Kelsei and Sarah, of Waynesville, Ethan and Eli, of Sylva, Levi and Joe, of the home, Kenneth, of Clyde, and Brittany, of Oklahoma.
