MAGGIE VALLEY — Jamie Douglas Rich, 44, of Maggie Valley, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012.  He was born in Haywood County March 12, 1968. He was a graduate of Tuscola High School and Haywood Community College. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved fishing and hunting. He was a machinist for 22 years with various companies. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Maggie Valley. He was a loving son, father, brother, and a friend to all.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Frank Douglas and Hazel Caldwell Rich; son, Amos Plott Rich;  brother, Jimbo Carver, and his wife, Mary; sister, Jenny Carver, and husband, James Corn; and several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
