Haywood Community College’s Jammin’ at the Millpond offered something for everyone. This free event showcases the college programs and students, as well as alumni and Appalachian heritage events. The day long festivities featured demonstrations and hands-on activities, a vintage car show, and many children’s activities.

The Ross Brothers and Terry Woody entertained the crowd at the event, and The Natural Resources table drew a crowd with a unique display. Clyde the Bobcat brought smiles throughout the day.

The finale of the event was bringing the molasses off the fire. HCC hand wrought metals instructor David Burnette orchestrated the molasses production.
