CANTON — Janet Phillips Caldwell, 58, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was a daughter of Monroe I. Phillips and the late Peggy Keener Phillips, who died in 2000.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beth Mason.  Janet was a member of Canton Central United Methodist Church.

In addition to her father, she is survived by two daughters, Jessica and Jasmine Arrington, both of Canton; one brother, William Hershel Phillips, of Waynesville; and three grandchildren, Marcus and Kobe Smith and Kiery Hardman.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Jordan officiating.
