January is ‘Radon Education Month’
The Haywood Cooperative Extension Office has free radon test kits, compliments of the N.C .Radon Program, that will help you determine if a home has a radon problem. With radon being the second leading cause of lung cancer deaths in the U.S., it is important that homes be tested for this radioactive gas. For information, call Erin Freeman at 456-3575
