Waynesville, NC - Jay Brown (piano, vocals, guitar, harmonica, percussion) performs LIVE at the Classic Wineseller on Friday, September 20 at 7pm. Brown has spent years traveling and playing across the U.S. taking in its rich musical heritage. He has performed with the Old Crow Medicine Show and shared the stage with musical legends, Etta Baker and Doc Watson.

On Saturday, September 21 at 7pm, get your Beatles and Elton John fix when singer-songwriter, and pianist, Joe Cruz returns to the Wineseller. Cruz, a native New Yorker,  has opened for Chicago, Santana, and Bonnie Raitt.

Enjoy fresh small plate fare prepared in the Wineseller’s kitchen beginning at 5:30pm. There is a $10 per person minimum on Friday and Saturday nights which includes food, drink, and retail purchases. Reservations are accepted before 7pm.

The Classic Wineseller, Waynesville’s premiere retail wine and craft beer shop, small plate restaurant, and intimate live music venue, presents local, regional, or national talent each Friday and Saturday night at 7pm. Friday, September 27 - Valorie Miller guitar, vocals

Valorie Miller is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Asheville, North Carolina. She got her start as a musician in the late 1990s when the North Carolina Arts Council awarded her an Emerging Artist grant to make her first recording. From there she has recorded independent CDs, gained recognition from many prestigious venues and contests, and toured the United States and overseas. Miller was named a Kerrville New Folk Finalist, two-time top finalist in the North Carolina Songwriting Contest, and top finalist in the Great American Song Contest.

She has performed at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, The Bitter End in New York and The Continental Club in Austin, Texas—and virtually every place between. She has shared the stage with Merle Haggard, Jennifer Nettles, Wilco, and Patty Larkin. Nashville’s Grammy-winning songwriter, Larry Cordle, says, “Go see Valorie Miller and listen to her stark, wonderfully crafted stories of longing, escaping love’s clutches, love of her homeland in the North Carolina mountains... Musica Nostra, "Our Music" in 'Italiano', is a unique ensemble that performs old Italian and Mediterranean mandolin music. The group is comprised of Dick Hull, first mandolin; Bob Kogut, second mandolin; and, Joseph Hasty, guitar. The musical arrangements were handed down to band leader Dick Hull by his Italian grandfather Giovanni (John) Napoleone and his brother Domenico (Dominic). Musical selections include: old Italian and classical  pieces; opera overtures; ragtime numbers; original compositions; and, marches and novelty pieces performed on two mandolins and guitar.
