Jay Brown to Perform Friday Night at the Classic Wineseller
The Classic Wineseller and Angelino's Piattino Ristorante will host Jay Brown in concert Friday, November 2, 2012 beginning at 7pm, 20 Church Street in Waynesville. The concert is part of the popular "Music Night Live" series at the Wineseller which showcases local, regional and national talent.
Jay Brown started playing guitar at the age of seven under the tutelage of his dad--his one and only guitar teacher. Brown learned to play a few more instruments along the way, as well as learning to write his own music. When not performing with Lazybirds, Shantavaani, or Swing Guitars, Jay Brown still finds some time to play with his other band, The Jay Brown One-Man-Band. Formed in 2007, The Jay Brown One-Man-Band includes Jay Brown on vocals, guitar, harmonica, and percussion. In 2010 the band added a new member, Jay Brown, on piano.
An American roots musician, Brown has hundreds of classic songs in his repertoire, as well as another hundred or so originals. He can often be found playing in pubs around Asheville, but he has also studied and performed music all over the world, from New Orleans, LA and California to India, Ghana, Peru.
