Celebrate romance and love on Saturday, February 15 as jazz vocalist Eve Haslam brings to life many of the love songs popularized by Barbra Streisand and other performers.

One of Haslam’s favorite Streisand songs is "How Does Wine Taste" (composed by Matt Dubey and Harold Karr) from the 1964 PEOPLE album. She will be joined by Simon George on piano, and Shannon Hoover on string bass.

New York born and bred, Eve Haslam is the visionary for Satin Steel Jazz. She's been profiled in Rapid River Magazine, VERVE, WNC Woman, and the Mountaineer. Concerts for her 2013 debut cd entitled, "A Thousand Years Ago", played to sold-out houses.

This year marks the fifth year for the collaboration of Ms. Haslam and Satin Steel Jazz. A second album entitled, "Beautiful Love" will be released later this year.

From early childhood, Ms. Haslam was the vocalist for her Juilliard-grad composer dad, Herb Haslam. In the fifth grade they co-composed a four-part piece for her school chorus to perform at graduation. By senior high she was exempt from her music studies and was selected with five other members for the first a cappella group of her county called "The Minstrels."

Later Haslam studied under the late European opera coach, James Partridge. Today, her vocal styles are influenced by Sarah Vaughan, Diane Schuur, Anita O'Day, Elis Regina, Gal Costa, Flora Purim, Nancy Wilson, and Keely Smith.

The evening includes a delicious four course dinner and show for $29.99 per person plus tax & gratuity. Seating is limited so call 828-452-6000 for reservations. For more information visit www.classicwineseller.com.
