WAYNESVILLE — Jesse James, 75, of Madison Heights, Virginia, passed away Oct. 2, 2012, at his residence in Virginia.

Jesse was the son of the late Lewis and Annie Parks James of Fines Creek. He was also  preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lawhorn James, who passed away May 10, 2002; a son, Larry Wayne James, of Hot Springs; three brothers, Sam James, of Hickory, Robert and Levi James and a sister, Ethel Parks, all of Clyde. Jesse was a mechanic and enjoyed being outdoors.

He is survived by four daughters, Linda Lanning, and her husband, Kenneth, of Fines Creek, Brenda Wines, and her husband, Roger, of Leicester, Lisa Mason, and her husband, Brook, of Virginia, and Donna Murphy, of Charlotte; two sons, Roger James, and his wife, Liza, of Iron Duff, and Pete Murphy, of Virginia, ...
