Loving Uncle, Friend

BETHEL —  Joe Letch Worley, 87, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at MedWest-Haywood.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late John Letcher and Viola Stinnett Worley.  He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gudger and George Worley.

He was the manager of Champion Credit Union for more than 30 years and a member of Canton Central United Methodist Church.  Joe had a passion and heart for serving others.  He enjoyed volunteering at Haywood Regional Medical Center and the VA Medical Center.  Upon his retirement, he was on the board of trustees at Champion Credit Union, board member of the Bon-A-Venture Cemetery Fund, and treasurer at Canton Central United Methodist Church.  He participated with close friends in a birthday ...
