WAYNESVILLE — John Paul Davis Jr., 54, of Waynesville, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at home in Waynesville.  Mr. Davis was born Oct. 5, 1958, in Waynesville. He is the son of the late John Paul Davis Sr.

He was employed as a telephone contractor.

He is survived by his mother, Bobbie Moody Davis, of Waynesville; one brother, Byron, and wife, Heather Davis, of Clyde; one sister, Kathie Davis, of Waynesville; three nephews Zachery, Jordan and Josh Davis; and one niece, Emiley Davis.

A private memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 9, in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services, in Sylva, with the Rev. Heath Davis officiating.
