Jones: Honduras trip provided life-changing connections

I recently returned from a mission trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras, as part of a team with Rehoboth Baptist Church in Waynesville.

Each person made a meaningful, life-changing connection as they partnered with Honduran churches to serve in the poorest areas of Tegucigalpa. One elderly lady who walked to the medical brigade had such low blood sugar, was almost non-responsive. When stabilized, she said she said she had not eaten in two days. There is no doubt she would have died that day if she had not been helped by the medical brigade. This is not uncommon in this country. I want to thank everyone in Haywood County who supported us. It was your hands who saved this Honduran lady’s life, and made such a difference in the lives of many.
