Canton — Treasured Forever

Joseph William Treadway, 16 , of Smokey Meadows Way, entered into the arms of the angels on his beloved birthday of July 4, 2013.

Joseph was born July 4, 1997 in Buncombe County and had resided in Haywood County all of his life. He was a rising junior at Pisgah High School and was a member of the Auto Mechanic Club. Joseph was always smiling and he possessed the natural gift of always making others feel better about themselves.

When we think of Joseph, we remember his big, beautiful, bright eyes and his unforgettable smile. Joseph deeply loved all of his family and his special love and care for his brother, Tyler was unending. He always called Tyler his “Best Buddy” and he had dedicated his life to helping Tyler get well. He  loved to hunt and fish with his Dad and also enjoyed spending time with his younger cousin, Will  Deweese.  Joseph’s memory will always be in the hearts of those who loved and treasured him. He shall remain a part of us forever.

Joseph was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Pat Treadway; paternal great-grandparents, Mary Ann and Dolphus Treadway and Vera and George William Hill;   maternal great- grandparents, Tillman Green and Gracie and Vance Byrd;

Left to cherish Joseph’s precious memory are his mother, Angie Treadway of Canton; his father, Bobby Treadway of Canton; a brother, Dustin Tyler Treadway of Canton;  maternal grandparents,  Roger and Olga Byrd of Clyde and Martha and Billy James of Clyde; paternal grandparents, D.L. Treadway and Margie Stepp of Waynesville; maternal  great-grandmother, Betty Green of Canton; an aunt, Debra Messer; an uncle, Brian Byrd; also numerous other aunts and uncles and a host of friends who loved Joseph dearly.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Moore and the Rev. Dr. Roy Kilby officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 1 until 3 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Entombment will be in The Horizon at Crawford / Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde.
