Juanita Ollie Brooks
WAYNESVILLE — Juanita Ollie Brooks, 86, passed away May 28, 2014, at the John F. Keever Solace Center. She was born Sept. 30, 1927, to the late John Bunyan and Ora Davis Arrington. Juanita was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife and special friend to all who knew and loved her, always trying to help others. She will be greatly missed by all the lives she has so graciously touched.
In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Brooks; four sisters, Gladys Hill, Joyce Tabor, Lucille Carver and Virginia Arrington; and one brother, J.B. Arrington.
She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Cagle (JC), Linda Smathers (Dale), and Sharon Massie-McClure (Dan); one brother, Hubert Arrington (Jean); six grandchildren, Brian Cagle (Shawn), Brooke Roberts (Sam), Cristy Patten, and Joseph, Patrick (Erin), and Jonathan Massie; eight great-grandchildren, Lydia and Luke Cagle, Isabella Roberts, Lucie and Benjamin Patten, and Tucker, Emily Grace and Sam Massie.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 31, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with Brian J. Cagle and the Rev. Bobby Downs officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. Joseph, Patrick and Jonathan Massie, Luke Cagle and Nicholas Pressley will serve as pallbearers. Flower girls will be Lucie Patten, Lydia Cagle and Isabella Roberts. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Keever Solace Center for providing a sacred place for our family and our mother in her last days. We also thank you Shawn, Brian, Luke and Lydia Cagle for the special care you have given our Nana.
