K-9 Curriculum, Inc. opens in Clyde

K-9 Curriculum, Inc. has made its home at 70 Main St., Clyde. Owner and operator Lisa Montheith provides training and grooming services for all dogs in Haywood County.

“I am a lifetime dog lover, dog owner and dog enthusiast,” said Monteith. “I have always dreamed of a career where my focus every day is dogs.”

Monteith enjoys helping dogs look their best and teaching them manners so they can be on their best behavior.

“Well-trained, well-groomed dogs make good family members for a lifetime,” she said. “I strive to make training and grooming a positive experience for my clients and their humans.”

Monteith’s training curriculum is positive-reinforcement based. She offers weekly training programs that include Puppy Kindergarten, Basic Manners, Intermediate Classes and Life Skills. She also offers private obedience training at her shop in Clyde or clients’ homes.

Monteith also offers walk-in and by-appointment grooming. K-9 Curriculum, Inc. is currently open from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The shop will be open full time in September.
