WAYNESVILLE — Kenneth Howard Dye, 73, passed away on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Memorial Campus-Mission Hospitals.
Kenneth was a native of Loudon County, Tennessee, he had resided in Haywood County since 1972. He was the son of the late Granville and Myrtle Roberts Dye. Kenneth was a graduate of University of Tennessee, where he received his master’s degree in Engineering. He retired from Champion International as an engineer with 27 years’ service. Kenneth was on the board of directors for the North Carolina Baptist State Convention and president of the Lay Witness Foundation of North Carolina. He served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and did missions work local and abroad.
