WAYNESVILLE —  Kenneth William “Kenny” Grant,  48, of 74 Happy Ridge Lane, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Mission Hospital.

Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Helena Roy Grant and was also preceded in death by two sisters.  Kenny was disabled throughout his life

He is survived by his father, Donald William Grant; one brother, Kevin Owen Grant, of Knoxville; two nieces, Summer and Elaine Grant of Waynesville; and his caretakers, Charles and Melissa Irwin, of Sylva.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11,  at the Salvation Army on Pigeon Street, with Captain Roland Cox officiating.  Burial will be held in Pineville, North Carolina.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. prior to services at the Salvation Army.
