Kimberly 'Nichole' Mathis Reeves

CLYDE — Kimberly “Nichole” Mathis Reeves, 34, of Clyde, went to be with her Lord Jesus Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014.
Nichole was born in Haywood County August 10, 1979. She was a graduate of Tuscola High School. She attended Western Carolina University and transferred to Mars Hill University where she graduated. She later graduated with her masters degree from Montreat College. For the past 11 years, Nichole was a school teacher at Lake Junaluska Elementary School where she loved her students.
She is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Ed and Hattie Mathis; maternal grandfather, Hershel Owen, Jr.; and aunt, Betty Gribble.
She is survived by parents, Doyle and Eva Mathis of Waynesville; husband, Bryan Kelly Reeves and their precious daughter, Arden Grace Reeves of Clyde; brother, Stacey (Amy) Wyatt and daughters, Christian and Leah of Canton; grandmother, Lillian Owen of Waynesville; father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Lynn Presnell of Waynesville; sisters-in-law, Jerica (Luke) Pate and Rebekah (Parker) Reeves all of Clyde; other special grandparents, Kenneth and Jenny Presnell of Waynesville, and Mildred Mathis of Waynesville.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Garrett Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 2, at the Charles Beall Auditorium at Haywood Community College.
Burial will follow at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
