Beloved Mother, Grandmother

WAYNESVILLE - Kitty Smith Williams, 71, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at The Homestead.

A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late James Herbert “Bud” and Margaret Virginia “Jenny” Graham Smith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Frank Williams Jr., who died in 2001; and two sisters, Dorothy Turner and Sandra Nichols.  Kitty was a graduate of Education for Ministry from the School of Theology at the University of the South Sewanee Tennessee and was a member of the Order of the Daughters of the King.  She retired from Plus Linen Cleaners, with 10-plus years of service, in 2011.
