Photo by: Stina Sieg Nolan Fish, seen here with his mom, Melissa, looks entranced by a Christmas tree at Lake Junaluska's Lambuth Inn. Lake Junaluska's streets and buildings are festooned for the holidays and for the upcoming Appalachian Christmas celebration, slated for this weekend.

Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center is festively festooned for Christmas, with decorations lining its lake and streets and filling its restaurants and hotels. The historic Lambuth Inn is especially ornate, with several Christmas trees, Santas and wreaths. In preparation of Lake Junaluska's 100th anniversary, The Mountaineer is creating a special tribute and is seeking out memories and photos from the lake from all seasons and years. Images and written memories may be emailed to news@themountaineer.com, sent via mail to P.O. Drawer 129, Waynesville, NC 28786 or dropped by the paper's office, at 220 N. Main St., Waynesville.
