Lake Logan volunteer opportunities available for nonprofits

Mar 31, 2014

The Lake Logan Multisport Festival in August will not only bring over 1,000 athletes plus their families to Haywood County, it will provide over $3,000 to area non-profits who supply the volunteers needed for the event.

Glory Hound Events is seeking to partner with up to four non-profit organizations to provide volunteers for areas such as Registration Services, Bike Course Marshals, Bike Aid Stations and Run Aid Stations.  Volunteers will work an average of three-hour shifts assisting the athletes during the event.

Organizations that are interested in receiving this funding and who can provide from 10 to 42 adult volunteers should contact Greg Duff at greg@gloryhoundevents.com.

What?  1,000 athletes visiting Bethel?  When is this?  Where do 1,000 people park?  I've seen Lake Logan and I don't remember seeing any sizable parking lot.  Tell us more!

There is an old landing strip on other side of lake.
