In Loving Memory
Larry Clark, age 74, of Penrose. NC, and a former resident of Canton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Transylvania Regional Hospital.
Larry was born May 10, 1942, to the late Rex and Dolly Clark of Canton.
Larry had achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and was also a United States Navy veteran, having honorably served on the USS Kitty Hawk. He retired from Dupont with 35 years of dedicated service and later retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mitzi Hendrick.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia Mason Clark; a sister, Janice Clark, of Brevard; a daughter, Angie Clark Bradley and husband, John, of Creedmoor, NC; a son, Christopher Clark and wife, Doris, of Penrose; grandchildren, Kayla Bradley, of Cleveland, NC, Emily Ruth and husband, Billy, of Georgetown, KY, and Morgan Clark, of Etowah, NC; also twin great-granddaughters, Annalyse and Arabell Ruth; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Steve and Jackie Shephard, of Canton; brother-in-law, Lucien Hendrick, of Florida; several nephews; and also Larry leaves behind his dog, Thumper, who was his loyal friend and companion.
A memorial service celebrating Larry’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at The Penrose Worship Center in Penrose, NC. Pastor Dean Thompson will be officiating.
