CHEROKEE — Larry Garland Thomas, 64, of Cherokee, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at the Charles George VA Medical Center, in Asheville.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 1, in the Chapel of the Western Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery in Black Mountain with the Rev. Ronnie Peterson officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the cemetery chapel.
