Tuscola High School and The Mountaineer are sponsoring a self-defense class for the community from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, in the gym at Tuscola. Come learn basic moves from Gracie North Carolina jiu jitsu instructor Armando Basulto.

The cost is $10 per person and all proceeds go to benefit Relay for Life in the fight against cancer.

Free child activities will be provided for children 10 and younger during the class. Tuscola's Relay for Life team will be selling concessions during the event. Come at 10:30 a.m. to watch jiujitsu students compete in an arm bar competition to raise money for Relay.

Come support this community event. For those who can't attend, please consider making a donation to The Mountaineer Newsies' Relay team by visiting http://main.acsevents.org/goto/mountaineernewsies.
