Part 1 of the series, “African American Survival Mechanisms in Asheville,” will be Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 6:30 PM at the Asheville YMI. Part 2 of the series, “An Unfound Door? Thomas Wolfe and Race,” will be on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 6:30 PM the Wolfe Memorial Visitor Center. Both lecture programs are free and open to the public! These lectures are available through a NC Humanities Council Grant and are in collaboration with the Buncombe County Public Libraries.
