Legal notice — Haywood Waterways Association, Inc.
Haywood Waterways Association, Inc. is requesting funding from the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Rural Housing Service (RHS) Housing Preservation Grant (HPG) program. The proposal seeks funding to assist low to very-low income families in rural communities through the repair of failing septic systems.
If awarded, HPG funding will be used to cover 90 to 100 percent of the cost of each septic repair and each project will comply with all HPG requirements. Repairs will represent a critical need to comply with local and state regulations, and for the protection of human health and the environment. Funds will be available to homeowners who earn less than 80 percent of the area median income (AMI).
The immediate impact of HWA’s proposal is that all rural households will have access to septic repair funds, and local affiliates will be able to expand affordable housing solutions and serve more families in need.
Questions or comments should be directed to Eric Romaniszyn, HWA’s executive director at 476-4667 or email@example.com.
