CANTON — Leroy Frizzell, 70, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late James Junior and Ruth May Rickman Frizzell.

He retired from Dayco, with 33 years of service, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.  He was a U. S. Marine veteran during the Cuban missile crisis.  Leroy enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jeanie Allison Frizzell; two daughters, Angela Yvonne Frizzell, of Canton, and Karen Joyce Townsend, and her husband, Michael, of Murphy; a son, James McKinley Frizzell, and his wife, Barbara, of Canton; a sister, Ethel Yvonne McCracken, of North Wilkesboro; a brother, Frank William Frizzell, of Canton; 13 grandchildren; and five ...
