Drug addiction help is available
To the editor,
In response to a recent letter about drug addiction, I want readers to know there is currently in place a drug awareness program (Drugs In Our Midst) in Canton.
Sunday evening at 6 p.m. at the Pinnacle Church, we will be holding our fourth meeting. This program is community endorsed. We have done many things to get this information out to the community and still can’t reach all. I so appreciate your concern for Canton and you expressed our same issues.
Our upcoming program will feature police officers, a representative from the Central Office for Haywood County Schools, a DARE officer and a personal testimony by a former user. All these programs have been well received. We too feel the need to reach young adults, parents and ...
