Friends of the Library and the Haywood County Arts Council have forged an eclectic musical partnership that has entertained our community for 13 years and counting. The artists performing in April’s free concerts at the Canton and Waynesville public libraries are especially eclectic and exceptionally appealing.
Dusk Weaver, will be at the Waynesville Library on Saturday, April 22. He calls himself an egghead, an everyman and an enigma. His fans will tell you he’s just Dusk. A lifelong explorer and adventurer, his music comes from places known only to him. Americana is as good a label as any. It embraces bluegrass, rockabilly, gospel, jazz and, he might say, everything else. Dusk Weaver is a true musical original.
Come out and spend an hour experiencing the kind of music that goes right to the heart and soul of the life we share in Haywood County. That’s what the Friends of the Library Concert series is all about. As always, both April performances start at 3:00 p.m. and are free and open to everyone.
