Linda Dickert will be at City Lights Bookstore on Saturday, September 15th at 3:30 p.m. to read from her book, The Mountains Belong to Me.  Dickert says of her book, “These are poems, poetic essays, and poetic conversations highlighting the Appalachians as my birthplace (I was born in Asheville), and the happiness I found while living in Asheville and Sylva.  It covers poems about my spiritual journey into the belief I stand by today, my delight seeing flowers and forest creatures that make my life whole.”  Dickert also represents SPARK Companions, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides support to people who cannot buy food or pay vets bills for their dogs.  They also place unwanted or neglected dogs, including pit bulls, into nurturing homes.  $2 from the sale of each book will go to SPARK Companions.  For more information please call City Lights Bookstore at 828-586-9499.  To donate to spark please visit http://www.sparkcompanions.org/framepg.html
