Lake Junaluska Warriors Football and Cheer signups
The Lake Junaluska Warriors football and cheerleading signups for the upcoming 2014 season have been set for 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays May 31 (at Warrior Field), June 14 (at Hibbetts Sports) and July 19 (at Kmart).
At each signup, a registration fee of $60 and a cheer spirit will be $75.
The LJ Warriors Football Camp will be July 29-31 ar Warrior Field.  
LJ Warriors will open football and cheer camps on Aug. 1. WCU alumni cheer coaches are among the new and exciting things happening with the organization.

Volleyball referees needed
Volleyball officials needed for middle school and high school.  Must be at least 18 years old.  No experience necessary but helpful.  Will train.  Some travel required.

Bethel Football and Cheerleading signups
The Bethel Youth Organization is conducting signups for the upcoming 2014 season from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, at the Bethel Middle School football field.  
Additional signups will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays June 14 and July 26 at the Bethel Middle School football field.
At each signup, a registration fee of $40, a certified copy of a birth certificate and a recent photo is required.
BYO is also seeking coaches. Anyone interested in coaching must mail a letter of interest by Thursday, July 3 to Bethel Youth Organization; P.O. Box 91; Canton, N.C. 28716.

Season tickets for Post 47 Dragoons on sale now
Haywood Post 47 is currently selling two packages for 91 prime seats for the Dragoons’ 2014 Senior Legion season at Tuscola Ballpark.

MLL fundraiser set for may 23 at the Elks Lodge
Mountaineer Little League is holding a barbecue dinner fundraiser at the Elks Lodge, located at 510 Dellwood Road in Waynesville, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Friday, May 23.
All proceeds will go to help cover MLL operation costs. Haywood County-based Blue Ridge BBQ Place will provide traditional beans, slaw and pulled pork dinners for $8 a plate.   
Tickets can be purchased at the Elks Lodge, at all MLL games or at the gate the day of the event.

Building Bridges Mud Run coming in September
The Canton Lions Club and the Waynesville Police Association will join forces for the inaugural Building Bridges Mud Run on Saturday, Sept. 13.
