A 1937 Ford truck, owned by Randy and Beverly Best of Clyde, recently won a finalist position in the Goodguys “Truck of the Year — Early” competition in Nashville, Tennessee, May 16-18.

The truck will be one of six finalists across the country to compete for the 2014 title. The winner will travel to Westworld in Scottsdale, Arizona, Nov. 14-16, 2014, to display in the Champions Arena.

The truck features air-ride suspension with a Jack Roush 427 cubic inch fuel-injected engine. The interior is sewn in a combination of African bison and ostrich leather. The carpet is German square weave wool. The bed floor is African “Sapele” mahogany.

The truck was designed and built by Forrest and Ulus Burnette at Indy Rod Shop, Inc. in Canton.
