WAYNESVILLE — Lois Bryson Pippin,98, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Smoky Mountain Health and Rehabilitation Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was a former resident of Pennsylvania and Tennessee.  She was the daughter of the late Carl W. Bryson and Ninnie McElroy Bryson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Duane W. Pippin, who died in 1996; six sisters, Ruby Green, Jessie Humphery, Billie Davis, Pansy Reeves, Edna Davis and Ila Lepely; a brother, Mack Bryson; and one sibling at birth.

Lois attended Blanton’s Business College and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Waynesville Chapter 165 and served as past Worthy Matron.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
