'Look Good' helps women undergoing cancer treatmentWorkshop takes place Sept. 9
The American Cancer Society and Medwest-Haywood will offer "Look Good...Feel Better," a free two-hour workshop for women undergoing cancer treatment, from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Sept. 9. The session is free and will meet on the second floor of the Haywood Fitness Center.
This program helps improve the self-image, appearance and quality of life of patients by teaching beauty techniques to help cope with appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. The program is made possible through a collaboration of the Personal Care Products Council Foundation, the American Cancer Society and the Professional Beauty Association/National Cosmetology Association.
