In Loving Memory
CANTON — Louis Worley, 78, of the Beaverdam Community, passed away and went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, Jan. 27, 2014.
A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late George Kenneth Worley and the late Thelma Scott Worley. Louis was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Taylor Queen. Louis loved coon hunting and was a very talented rock mason and a self-employed logger in the timber industry.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Jean Clontz Worley; a daughter, Carla Worley; three sons, Eric Worley, Mark Worley and his wife, Michelle Worley, and Daniel Worley, all of the Beaverdam Community; brothers, Bill Worley and his wife, Audrey Worley, of Clyde, and Donald Worley and his wife, Eleanor Worley, of Canton; grandchildren, Mandy Wright Zujkowski, Misty Wright, Cody Worley, Levi Warren, Sarah Worley, Zak Worley, Brittany Brooks and Savannah Worley; great-grandchildren; Hannah Clark, Trevor Clark, Payton Mann, Rylee Zujkowski, Paisley Engelby and Macie Worley.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Long Branch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
