The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML), of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Clyde, has responded to a request for baby layettes in the maternity ward of MedWest-Haywood.  In recent months, many families have been struggling, financially, to cope with mounting medical costs and living expenses associated with providing for a newborn.

In an effort to ease the transition from hospital to home, these baby layettes are being offered to families that may be in need of some basic supplies.  During the past several months, the women of Our Savior’s LWML have been collecting and purchasing new and gently used baby item for the layettes.

The efforts have proven successful, with more than 100 layettes being provided to the hospital for distribution.
